Mediation helps you by offering a calm centre in the storm of breakdown. Mediation gives you and your partner the opportunity to discuss the problems of relationship breakdown, with a sympathetic and neutral mediator who is also a qualified lawyer.
What are the problems you face? Are there children involved? Is there property that needs to be considered? Savings? Pensions? Tax? Would you like someone to help you check your own proposals; to help you talk things over; even just someone to help you communicate with each other?
Mediation takes the breakdown away from the legal arena and into a quiet place where you can together consider all your options and maybe find a way to build new bridges with your partner, and to come to an arrangement in a manner less stressful than that of litigation.
Mediation will help by offering to both of you information on issues to do with your children such as contact, residence and financial arrangements (including, where relevant, the Child Support Agency). Mediation will also help by offering both of you information concerning your property and finances, pensions, insurance and tax.
Mediation puts solutions in your hands.
